Stage Your Space

Morning Lighting

Open curtains within five minutes of waking. Use a 4000K bulb at your desk for the first work block. Avoid overhead-only lighting that flattens alertness cues.

Evening Lighting

Switch to warm 2700K lamps after 8 PM. Dim overhead lights and use a single side lamp for reading or journaling during wind-down.

Subtle Sensory Cues

Evening routines benefit from consistent scent anchors — a specific candle, diffuser blend, or linen spray used only during wind-down signals the transition to rest.

Morning routines respond well to fresh air: open a window for two minutes and use a light citrus or herbal scent in the kitchen area only.
